Matthew Ayres
Managing Director

Matt brings over 13 years of hands-on experience in civil infrastructure works to his role as Director. His journey began in the field as an operator, where he gained invaluable insights into the intricacies of construction operations.

Over the years, Matt has progressed to become an owner and manager of all civil operations, demonstrating his keen understanding of the industry and his ability to drive business growth.

Matt’s expertise lies in construction methodology, plant operations, and problem-solving.

Michael Beecham
Operations Manager

Michael supports the delivery of civil infrastructure projects through structured project management, team coordination and stakeholder engagement.

His experience spans major infrastructure projects across Australia and the UK, including the Suburban Rail Loop in Melbourne and Hinkley Point C Nuclear Power Station in the UK. Michael has led multi-disciplinary teams, managed large subcontract packages and contributed to the delivery of complex, high-value works.

Working closely with project teams, clients and stakeholders, Michael focuses on maintaining alignment across programme, commercial and risk outcomes to support consistent, high-quality delivery.

Michael holds a Bachelor of Civil Engineering (Honours) and is a Chartered Professional Engineer in Civil Engineering and Project Management with Engineers Australia.

Jamie Pitman
Construction Manager

Jamie’s career spans 18 years across the building, civil and construction sectors, progressing from apprentice carpenter through to Construction Manager. His experience across major infrastructure projects throughout Victoria provides a strong foundation in practical leadership and disciplined project delivery.

Having worked his way through the ranks, Jamie leads with clarity, accountability and a deep respect for site operations. He values mentoring emerging leaders, strengthening team capability and contributing to a growing business driven by ambition and strong work ethic.

Stefan Soper
General Superintendent

With 32 years of experience across some of the most technically demanding environments in the construction industry, Stefan brings a significant depth of knowledge and experience to his role as Superintendent.

Stefan’s career has taken him far beyond conventional civil construction. Twenty-seven of his 32 years were spent in tunnelling and coal mining, spanning TBM and road header operations, longwall operations, and substructure and superstructure works across 14 level crossing removals. His background encompasses complex underground construction, large-scale structural works, rail infrastructure and major Tier 1 projects across Australia and internationally, including recent works on the Suburban Rail Loop.

Stefan brings strong technical capability, a commitment to team development and a focus on delivering quality outcomes for clients. He takes pride in building great teams, delivering projects on time and investing in the growth and education of the people around him.
